Interesting Idea

Posted by Richard Sat, Feb 18 2006 13:10

This is an interesting article explaining why Apple is going to switch to using MS Windows as their operating system. I don’t think I buy it, but it does have a few interesting points. Apple has put way to much time and effort into migrating from OS 9 to OS X PowerPC and now to OS X Intel. There would be a lot of upset users and developers - I know I prefer the UNIX underneath. Maybe the Linux desktop will have improved enough by then to try it again.

Coach Reaches 400th Win

Posted by Richard Thu, Feb 16 2006 06:55

Coach Ridder got his 400th win last night. The #1 ranked Eagles beat rival Flagler College. Not only was it coach’s 400th win, but it was also senior night (last regular season home game for the seniors) so it was a special event. It sounded like quite the game and I wish I could have been there.

Congratulations Coach Ridder!

ERAU Beats SCAD

Posted by Richard Fri, Feb 10 2006 07:03

The ERAU basketball team won another game. It sounds like freshman Tyler DeBord really helped lift the Eagles. I know it is a team effort, but it is great to see someone from your hometown have an impact. Of course, there is the assistant coach (and good friend), also from my hometown, who is a big time contributor as well.

For those of you who missed it, checkout an interview with Coach Ridder where he talks about the program.

Tupperware

Posted by Suzanne Wed, Feb 08 2006 22:40

After just 6 years our kitchen storage containers were looking pitiful. We had Rubbermaid containers that didn't seal at all and tons of Gladware pieces that are supposed to be disposable, so I decided to host a Tupperware party to get some new stuff. As it turned out I ended up getting just a few new bowls for leftover storage and instead invested in solutions for the pantry and the freezer. Check out my full post for more details as well as before and after pics of our pantry and freezer.

Duke at UNC

Posted by Richard Wed, Feb 08 2006 06:57

UNC gave it their best effort last night, but came up a little short. I thought Roy Williams had a top-notch game plan to beat #2 ranked Duke. Basically, run the ball, wear Duke out and win the game. Since Duke only plays 7 or so players, this approach was a good idea. At the very least, UNC matured a little last night. Good game even though it didn’t quite turn out how I hoped.
